CONGREGATION OHR TORAH

YOUTH DEPARTMENT NEWS...

We would like to take this opportunity to inform all of our members and friends that Congregation Ohr Torah has hired Moshe Seewald as our new Youth Director.

As many of you have already met and welcomed Moshe, you can see that he is an experienced youth leader. Moshe was the Youth Director at Kingsway Jewish Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. for the past seven years. He now joins the Ohr Torah community as we plan to invigorate and expand our Youth Department with many activities for your child(ren). Current plans include Shabbat morning groups, Saturday night and  Sunday afternoon events, and Holiday programs.

We encourage the children (ages 3 years+) from all of our minyanim to take full advantage of the various programs we offer. In order for this program to succeed we NEED full parental cooperation.

For Shabbat morning groups please have your children at Shul and ready to start at 10:00am sharp, as each walk- in disrupts the group and group leader.  Any child who does not attend groups needs to be supervised by an adult. Parents should make every effort to prevent children from being excessively noisy in the lobby or running in the hallways during davening.

We encourage members to join the Youth Committee and assist in planning and/or implementing this year's special events.  Upcoming meetings will be posted on the OT website and announced on Shabbat mornings.

We are looking forward to a successful and fulfilling program, which will be greatly enhanced with family's support.
